What is the 5-minute rule?
Private operators must allow you a grace period when you return to your vehicle. So, for example, if you purchased a ticket which expires at 2 pm, you can be given a ticket if you get back to your car at 2:05 pm.
If you’re not given the mandatory grace period, you’d have grounds to appeal the Parking Charge Notice.

What’s the Britpark appeals process?
You can appeal a parking ticket on private land when you feel it’s unfair or because the operator issued it incorrectly.

Does a Parking Charge Notice earn you a CCJ?
No. Getting a Parking Charge Notice doesn’t automatically mean you’d get a County Court Judgement. However, if Britpark wins a case against you in a small claims court, a County Court Judgement is recorded.
