How do you beat ANPR parking?

You have to appeal within 28 days and provide valid reasons for having a parking charge cancelled. This includes photos and other relevant proof.

So, how do you file a Parking Eye complaint?

What is Parking Eye’s complaint procedure?

Parking Eye has a dedicated complaints department which says a lot about the number of complaints against the operator!

The complaints department should deal with your complaint as quickly as possible. But when you find they are not helpful, you should escalate the matter sooner rather than later.

Parking Eye should deal with your complaint promptly. It shouldn’t take longer than 6 to 8 weeks for them to resolve the issue. Always stay in touch with the complaints department throughout the process. It keeps them on their toes!

You’ll get a deadlock letter from the complaints department once a decision is made. The letter typically contains Parking Eye’s final offer with details on how to contact the Ombudsman.

You should immediately contact the Ombudsman if you’re unhappy with how Parking Eye responded to your complaint!

How do you file a complaint with Ombudsman Services?

There’s a process to follow before you file a complaint with Ombudsman Services, which is as follows:

  • Get in touch with Parking Eye and allow them time to resolve the issue following the operator’s complaints procedure
  • Gather as much evidence as possible in support of your complaint against the operator
  • Keep all the correspondence Parking Eye sends you and which you send the operator
  • Note down the names of all the people at Parking Eye you spoke to on the phone

The more evidence you have to give to the Ombudsman, the stronger your case will be.

You can contact the Ombudsman if you get a deadlock letter from Parking Eye and are unhappy with the operator’s decision.

You’ll need to provide the following information:

  • Details of the issue you’re facing with the operator
  • Evidence in support of your complaint
  • Your personal details

The more information and evidence you provide, the faster the Ombudsman can come to a decision.

What proof does the Ombudsman need?

Try to give as much evidence as you can to the Ombudsman. It could include:

  • When and where Parking Eye gave you a ticket
  • Copies of all correspondence between you and the operator
  • The names of all the people at Parking Eye you spoke to
  • Any other supporting evidence relevant to your complaint

What happens once you contact the Ombudsman?

The Ombudsman processes your complaint and sends details to Parking Eye’s complaint department. This can usually prompt the operator to resolve the issue. Moreover, it could lead to an early resolution.

If Parking Eye makes an offer, the operator notifies the Ombudsman. However, you can check the outcome of your appeal just by accessing the Ombudsman portal.

What happens after I accept a resolution?

Parking Eye is obliged to comply when you accept a resolution. Moreover, an Ombudsman in-house team ensures a resolution gets implemented.

You could take the operator to court if they don’t comply with a resolution in an acceptable amount of time! But this is rarely necessary.
